Georgette Coffey
Georgette Coffey is the Founder, President and instructor of Flowing Waters Tai Chi. She has over 17 years of experience in the internal arts. Georgette began her training in 1988 studying Yang style Tai Chi and Tiger Mountain Chi Kung in the Tung Kai Ying Academy of Tai Chi. In 1995, she became an assistant teacher and in 1997 she began teaching Tai Chi and Chi Kung classes to her own students. Georgette is accomplished in and can teach the traditional Yang long form (108 movements), Tiger Mountian Tai Chi Kung, Tung family set, Tung family fast set, two forms of Dui Lein (choreographed fighting), push hands, Tai Chi Broadsword, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes and Tai Ch for Back Pain.
In 2000, Georgette trained with and became certified by Dr. Paul Lam in Tai Chi for Arthritis and the American Council on Exercise. She subsequently expanded her classes to address the special needs of students with arthritis. In 2002, Georgette was certified by the National Arthritis Foundation to teach students with arthritis. She is also certified by Dr. Paul Lam to teach a specialized Tai Chi form for students with diabetes and students with back pain. In 2005 Georgette was awarded the title of Senior Trainer for Dr. Paul Lam's Tai Chi for Health Program. Georgette has completed three of the four levels of Spring Forest Qigong taught by Master Chunyi Lin which uses powerful Chi Kung techniques to help heal oneself and others.
Georgette has taught Tai Chi and Chi Kung to students of all ages. Her students can attest to the many health benefits derived from the practice of Tai Chi and Chi Kung. References are available upon request.
Bill Coffey

Bill Coffey is Vice President and an instructor of Flowing Waters Tai Chi and has over 16 years of experience in the martial arts. Bill began his training 1986, studying Tae Kwon Do in the largest karate school in southern California and achieved his Second Degree Black Belt. In 1995 he became an assistant instructor and began teaching martial arts. In 1997 he tested before 10th Degree Black Belt and Grandmaster J. Pat Burleson to become a Nationally Certified Martial Arts Instructor in the World Martial Arts Ranking Association . Bill's accreditation can be confirmed at: www.karateusa.com
In 1988, Bill began studying Yang style Tai Chi and Chi Kung in the Tung Kai Ying Academy of Tai Chi. In 2000, he began teaching Tai Chi and Tiger Mountain Chi Kung with Georgette. Bill is currently studying Chen style Tai Chi under Master Jesse Tsao. Bill has a special interest in helping his students understand the self defense aspects of Tai Chi. Bill is accomplished in and can teach the traditional Yang long form (108 movements), Tiger Mountian Tai Chi Kung, Tung family set, Tung family fast set, two forms of Dui Lein (choreographed fighting), push hands, Tai Chi Sword and Traditional Chen style Tai Chi Laojia Yilu. Bill has completed four levels of Spring Forest Qigong taught by Master Chunyi Lin which uses powerful Chi Kung techniques to help heal oneself and others. In 2005 Bill was certified by Dr. Paul Lam to teach a specialized Tai Chi form for students with diabetes and students with back pain.

Filamena Christopher
Filamena Christopher is a Tai Chi instructor for Flowing Waters Tai Chi and has been studying Tai Chi and Chi Kung for over 10 years. She was drawn to Tai Chi and Chi Kung because their low-impact and precise motions exercise both body and mind. She began her path to teaching by assisting her early teacher for over 3 years. Afterward she began teaching her own students. Fil is certified by the National Arthritis Foundation to teach Tai Chi to students with arthritis. She is also certified by Dr. Paul Lam to teach a specialized Tai Chi forms for students with back pain or diabetes. Fil teaches Yang style 24 forms, Sun short form (TCA) and Sun lon form (73).
Fil has taught Tai Chi and Chi Kung to students of all ages. Her students can attest to the many health benefits derived from the practice of Tai Chi and Chi Kung. References are available upon request.

Liz’s love for martial arts started over 20 years ago while studying Northern Style Kung Fu with Sifu Adam Hsu. Since then, she has concentrated on developing her Tai Chi skills. The benefits of Tai Chi and Chi Kung are absolutely impressive and induces a state of tranquility and joy when practiced correctly. Liz believes that the balance to our hectic life style can be addressed through playing Tai Chi daily! She has studied locally with Master Jesse Tsao, Bill and Georgette Coffey, and Marc Saldana. She knows several forms of Tai Chi including sword tai chi-32 movements. In 2005, Liz was certified by Dr. Paul Lam to teach Tai Chi for arthritis and Tai Chi for back pain. Since April 2003, Liz has been doing cross-fit training and studying Krav Maga at Brand X Martial Arts in Ramona.
Currently, she teaches at the Remington Club and the Joslyn Center in Rancho Bernardo. Liz finds joy in teaching others one of her life’s passions!! References are available upon request.
Marion and Diane Rose
 In 2006 husband and wife team Marion and Diane Rose were certified by Dr. Paul Lam to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis and Tai Chi for Back Pain. Marion teaches a large class at his workplace in Sorrento Valley and Diane teaches with Fil Christopher at the Rancho Bernardo Swim and Tennis Club. The Roses have completed four levels of Spring Forest Qigong taught by Master Chunyi Lin which uses powerful Chi Kung techniques to help heal oneself and others.
